# Onboarding

> Recommended steps before rolling out Sequence in Sandbox and Production

Sequence provides a sandbox and production environment so you can go through billing test runs without connecting to your production infrastructure.

The typical implementation timeline is 4 weeks. A test billing run can be achieved in less than one week.

    A member from our team will get back to you in under 12 hours.

  <Step title="Account setup">
    We'll send you a brief onboarding survey to gather your business information and configure your account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Integrations & customer import">
    Import your customer base from your Accounting suite or CRM. Integrate with other tools in your stack.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Usage metric & event setup">
    If your pricing is usage or seat-based, our technical team will work with you to design metrics and events and ingest a usage data sample. Usage data can be pushed into Sequence via API, Data warehouse or as a csv file.

  <Step title="Create billing schedule">
    Configure billing schedules for a handful of your customers.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Test billing run">
    Start billing and review auto-generated in-progress invoices for each of your customers.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go live">
    Our technical team will work with you towards a go-live date.

## Migration service

If you currently use a billing provider, Sequence will support white glove onboarding of existing pricing plans, subscriptions and customer details onto Sequence.
